Fantastic Harry Potter - Ollivander's Wand Labels
Saturday I had the awesome experience of making Harry Potter themed wands, straight from Ollivander's!
We used a technique utilizing rolled up paper, glue, and hot glue, painted and sealed with modge-podge. We also made Hogwarts wax seals with hot glue stamped by my "H" seal I bought through e-bay, and then spray painted with a coat of authentic red paint.
I created these beautiful designs to go on the Ollivander's themed wand boxes that each magical wand was placed in. We spray painted shoe-boxes black and then printed of these labels with real wand types from the series. Can you guess which wand belonged to what character?
Graphics Fairy provided the lovely french base for the labels, which helped create an antique feeling to the box. Have to create a sense of authenticity to a wand shop established in 382 B.C., afterall...
